Tim
Mackin, President

Tim has been a member of the Worcester
Chapter for almost 30 years and is serving his
second year as President. He has been involved
with supporting enterprise systems for the past
30 years. Tim is currently the Senior Business
Systems Analyst for the Specialty Photonics
Division of OFS Fitel, LLC in Avon, CT. Tim
holds a BS in Information Management from
Central New England College of Technology. He
has served on ERP implementation project teams
for Smith Valve, Norton Company, Aritech
Corporation, Lucent Technologies and OFS. Tim
and his wife, Ellen, make their home in North
Grafton and have two sons, Chris and Kyle and
grandchildren, Caleb and Mackenzie.

Giroux, Secretary

Gail has worked in the materials management
field for some thirty years in a number of
positions, including Production Planner,
Production Coordinator, Inventory Manager,
Master Production Scheduler and Materials
Manager. She is currently employed by Fabrico,
Inc., as Order Administration Manager.
Currently serving on the Board as Secretary,
Gail is a Past President and has served the
Board in a variety of positions, including
Controller, Secretary, VP-Programs, VP-Company
Coordinators, and Seminar I Liaison.
Gail is APICS Certified, CPIM, (re-confirmed in
2008), and has an Associates Degree in
Production and Inventory Management from The
Central New England Colleges.
In addition to serving the APICS Board, Gail and
her husband Bob are Chapter Directors, GWRRA
Chapter W-Ma. and enjoy riding the back roads
and byways on their motorcycle and traveling
this beautiful country of ours in their motor
home. |

Mary has worked in the materials management
field for over twenty years and is currently
employed at Fabrico, inc. in Oxford, MA.
She is a Past President and has been a member of
the Board since 1981. In addition to two terms
as President, she has held the following
positions: Executive Vice President, Controller,
Secretary, VP of Membership, VP of Academic
Liaison, Secretary, and Spring Seminar Chairman.
Mary has also served on the Region level as an
officer and as the President's Meeting
Facilitator.
Mary is a graduate of Worcester State College
with a BS in Business Management, and a minor in
Manufacturing Operations Management. She makes
her home in Auburn.
In her leisure time, she volunteers at the
Ecotarium and Foothills Theatre in Worcester. |

Janet has been a member of APICS since 1981 &
has been involved as an APICS volunteer since
1984 (including past chapter President).
She has been employed at Allegro Microsystems
Inc. since 1983 where she has held a variety of
positions. She is currently a Master Scheduler.
In addition to her involvement with APICS, Janet
is active as a volunteer with a variety of other
organizations:

I have been
a member of APICS since 1969 holding various
Worcester County offices in the 1970s, including
chapter president in 1973. During that time I
also taught several sessions of both basic and
advanced workshops.
My most resent role was buyer/planner for the
now defunct Nichols & Stone furniture
manufacturer in Gardner, MA. Previously I held
various positions including Master Scheduler,
Materials Manager, Global Product Supply
Manager, Data Center Manager, and SAP
implementation leader for Procter & Gamble. As a
department manager at a P&G plant, I also had
the experience of implementing a High
Performance Work System and Lean Manufacturing
techniques including 5S methodology.
I graduated from Fitchburg State College Evening
Division, Fitchburg, MA - AS Manufacturing
Technology.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my
family and bicycle riding. In 1996 I was
selected to bear the Olympic Torch on its relay
journey through Massachusetts. |

I
joined Worcester APICS back in 1981 while employed
as a planner at Micro Networks for 7 years.
Since then, I have worked at Rockport Shoe Co.
in Marlboro, MA for 7 years as Senior Planner;
Delta Design in Littleton, MA for 6 years as
Senior Planner; and Gentex Optics in Dudley,
MA as a Scheduler for 2 years. Currently I am
between positions, and am seeking full-time
employment in Materials Management.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from
Nichols College, as well as my MBA from Anna
Maria College. Became CPIM in 1985.
I'm on the Worcester BOD serving my 3rd term
as Asst VP of Programs. I also am very active
in the Appalachian Mountain Club having held
several offices over the years, including Treasurer,
Historian, and presently Vice Chair of Worcester
Chapter.

Robert
Manning CPIM, VP Academic Liaison

Bob Manning is a Team Leader of Production
Planning and Material Control for Raytheon Company
and has been working in the resource and supply
chain management field for 27 years. He has
worked in a variety of industries including
machine shops, metal stamping, surgical implants,
fiber optics, and high tech electronics. Bob
has also been an instructor/facilitator of APICS
workshops and college courses for 19 years.
He has a B.S. in Management Technology from
Central New England College and an MBA from
Nichols College. Bob earned his CPIM in 1983.
Bob is presently the Academic Liaison and VP
of Marketing for the Worcester County Chapter.
He has also served the Worcester County Chapter
as President, VP of Programs, and VP of Education
& Research. Bob has also served in the past
as Region 1 Ambassador, Assistant Region VP,
and Region VP.

I have been an Apics member
since 1985. I have been active on the Board for
the last 8 years.
I have 2 grown sons and
one grandchild who is 4.
I have a Bachelors degree
from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New
Hampshire. My main courses of study were Finance
and Business Administration. |
