COUNTY CHAPTER #22, INC.
VI DUTIES AND POWERS OF OFFICERS
Section
1.
Duties
of the President:
The President shall be the chief
executive officer of the organization and of the Board of
Directors. The President shall be a member ex-officio of all
committees. The President shall perform all duties incident
to the office of President.

2
Duties
of the Executive Vice President:
The
Executive Vice President shall, in the absence of,
disability of or the resignation of the President, have the
Presidents powers and perform the duties of the office.

3
Duties
of the Secretary:
The
Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings
of all meetings of this society and of the Board of
Directors. The Secretary shall carry on the general
correspondence of the society, send out notices of the
annual meeting, and send out notices of the Board of
Directors with the agenda and previous meeting minutes.

The
Duties of the Treasurer:
The Treasurer or designate shall receive
all funds paid to the Worcester County Chapter #22 of the
society and shall deposit such funds in the name of the
organization in such banks as the organization may
designate. The Treasurer shall pay all bills but only after
the approval of the expenditure by the Controller. The
books shall be open to the membership at all times for
inspection. Any request for such an inspection shall be made
through the Audit Committee. The treasurer shall render a
report at each meeting of the Board of Directors as of the
Friday before the meeting.

5.
Duties
of the Vice President of Education & Research:
The Vice
President of Education & Research shall be responsible for
the educational programs, special classes, education for
certification exams, and educational Seminars of this
chapter.
Section
6.
Duties
of the Vice President of Programs.
The Vice
President of Programs shall be responsible for the program
for each monthly meeting of this society including speaker
arrangements for the arrival to the meeting place and any
other accommodations required. The Vice President of
Programs shall see that materials the speaker may require
at5 the time of the monthly meeting will be available. The
Vice President of Programs shall notify the Vice President
of Publicity two (2) months prior to the scheduled
presentation of the subject and provide other necessary
documentation such as pictures and speaker’s background.

Duties
of the Vice President of Membership:
The Vice
President of Membership shall conduct all membership
activities of the society pertaining to new and continuing
memberships and represent the society as official host at
all functions. The Vice President of Membership shall
maintain an accurate membership roster.

8
Duties
of the Vice President and Editor of Chapter Publications:
The Vice
President and Editor of Chapter Publications shall be
responsible for the publication of the Monthly Newsletter,
which will include the monthly meeting notice, to the
published and distributed to the membership. The Vice
President and Editor of Chapter Publications shall be
responsible for Notices of all Chapter Seminars, Workshops,
and Educational classes. The membership roster is also
published by the Vice President and Editor of Chapter
Publications.

Duties
of the Vice President of Company Coordinators:
The Vice
President of Company Coordinators will solicit and train
Company Coordinators from membership by holding meetings to
educate them to act as dedicated individuals to the
professional philosophies of APICS, to represent his or her
company in regards to the educational and other chapter
activities; to act as a liaison for the needs of the
membership back to the Vice President of Company
Coordinators.

Duties
of the Vice President of Academic Liaison:
The Vice
President of Academic Liaison will work closely with the
student advisor of the affiliated student chapter to
accomplish the following: See that a President, Treasurer &
Secretary are elected; to plan interesting and effective
programs exposing the students to the business community via
plant tours, work study projects and guest speakers from the
field of Material Management; using the APICS chapter
management manual to assist eh students in running their
monthly Board of Directors’ meetings; develop a budget and
publish a Treasurers report; promote and develop student
scholarship opportunities; and to have a successful student
night program.

Duties
of the Controller.
The
controller shall receive and approve all expenditure to
assure that they are within the scope of the approved
Budget. The approvals shall be forwarded to the Treasurer
for payment. The controller shall advise the President of
any problems related to the adherence to the budget. The
Controller will schedule and oversee the Audits. The
Controller shall be responsible for the collection of Budget
data within sixty (60) days of the start of the fiscal year
and the creation of the Budget for each fiscal year. The
controller shall also record and report on the monthly
performance to the Budget. This report will be based on the
cut off of the Treasurers report for balancing. For
performance it will be completed by calendar months.

Duties
of the Vice President of Marketing
The Vice
President of Marketing shall establish all programs plans
and special projects designed to move the Worcester County
Chapter of APICS forward in our core functions. The Vice
President of marketing shall arrange for all publicity
releases to all appropriate news media, both local and
Society including APICS publications.
